enough of the obvious,
well too be honest Futersonic was a bit of a let down, not that i was excepting the moon on a stick or nothing but it was just 'alright' the DMz night was way to quite so kind of mist the point.
Manchester was fun mind, there are some crazy people out on 't streets like.
really glad i made it to Leeds ohttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifn sunday as olsen was amazing, (as per usual) took me 50 mins to drive there from manc (it's 80+ miles away! breaking the law, breaking the law.... )
lots of my friend made it there as well, from all over the north so was real nice to have tea cake and abstract films,
Didn't get the Job i applyed for a the Lux this week as 'Tecnical manager' but at least they contacted me about it, for once.
The Visitation by Nathaniel Dorsky was noticeably beautiful, silent film.
Intersection starts in a few days at Bonington gallery (Notts trent uni) . Got a 5.1 surround sound system all up and running with speakers and everything, for the installation, so thats a 1st should be good. Am also doing a workshop on monday as well.

when for a job interview today as 'digital arts officer' at Broadway, (media centre?)
which is to basically curator the 'digital arts program' which i got fom the interview was to apply for funding to put things on at the broadway and the east midlands.
I m not sure that i overly won over the 'planel; as when asked when what was the best art i've seen recebly was I gave far too much choise , and still it seamed that they didn't know what i was on bout what ever i said, . for example, valsulks in birminham, or francoiue baile at the ICA or even 'sonic arts network', at the ime i didn'y know how to read the 'panel' so was pissed off with myself to not have metioned things that (i later remembered) might have hit a recognizable name for them to understand, or even know.
What i said was to mainly sell the Loom festival, and that we got funding from that and the fact that i lived in amsterdam and have seen some shit hot art work, not only resenly but over the past 6 years. also when aske d what IT skills i has, (i though this was a bit , either stupid or iconic, it being a digital arts officer job title, I dont think they knew the hlaf of what i was tlaking about when listed the software that i've been using and learnt.
over their heads, or what! ???

Must of been the Smallest gig the've done on this tour.
Was very sweaty, made even wrose by the fact it was pissing it down outside, (then inside after they had finished )
Last time i saw them in Notts last year you couldn't move, which added to the atmosphere, so it was very stange that there was freedom to move around and stand as close as I did . Even though I (was well as the band) where whereing ear plugs, my ears still took one hell of a beatting! well i was stood right next to their PA.
check flickr and youtube link for pics and bad vids.

Just saw DTB (David Thomas Broughton)in Sheffield upstairs in some dive pub, down the road,
only found out about just a few hours before he played,
Didn't even stay for any other bands.
it was beautiful, very intermit, so much so that this young girl stated (privately) crying.
got a hand drawn CD-r for £4.

Saturday,
After Recoving from the past night post party merriment, I drove to Manchester for a Skam party, 1st we went to an other old friend from notts flat, had a few beers before Meeting yet another old friend Goodyear, in town, after a comedy taxi drive to this party, taking every wrong turn, then u-tuning on 3 occasions up one way streets we finally got there , this studio, £3 to get in, bargain, well it would of been more a bargian if the sound system was turned on, as only half of it appeared to be working, which was very poor, i must say. Bar was funny as you had to buy what seamed to be key fobs that you would of made in CDT at school, which where £2 which we could swop for a small bottle of beer, If i knew that back in the wood work room at school i think i would have made some more. (see pic of Daz with large amount of these key fobs in mouth heading for the bar/Annihilation which i think he achieved)
Chris is showing his belly hear as he has no t-shirt on. before his set i saw him take off his t-shirt and stand on a chair on the 'stage' and wrap it around a dripping pipe which would of gone on his laptop . any normal person might have moved, "but what's normal? "

This the the Dolescam records Release party at the Occupied social centre on Russell sq in London, too be honest I though it was a bit dispointing compared to past parties that we have done, more to do with the space than anything else. which showed in the crowd. a lot of socializing needed to be done, and there wasn't many places to do this, (in the corridor felt like being at school waiting for a supply teacher to turn up as the real teacher had toped them self's as they couldn't cope with this unruly class of kids)
As far the music went, that was alright, good mix of styles , mostly killed by the fact the the Rig was far too big for the small room (about the size of a class room)
the building give give off the vibe that it used to be a school, I think this is why i'm making so many school metaphors?
Mad form of uncanniness happened before i got hear, on the train saw Anthony (mate of a mate, who lives in notts but see him randomly from time to time) so talked to him the whole trip, he works In video, and is doing an MA at goldsmiths in Interactive Art/Design which I didn't know, so had lots to talk about, Then as soon as i got off the trian I saw Ruth another friend of mine on the Bus going to this party, (yes fair enough I kind of knew she would be going to this) .
But on the way back home waiting at the bus stop I saw two of my oldest mates from Notts standing right there ont he pavement in Stoke Newington. that was very bizarre, and this the biggest city in the UK, small world i say.
